Laurence Gauci
The Stratford Concert Band welcomes you to a season filled with music! We are excited to bring you music from different genres, showcasing the versatility of this dynamic ensemble. As we celebrate 116 years as an integral part of the Stratford musical community, we are proud to present programs that include serious wind band music, pop, jazz, movie and stage music. Please join us as we present concerts year round!
Laurence Gauci has been a member of the Stratford Concert Band since 1993. He has played saxophone, tuba, and percussion through the years, and has also filled the role of Assistant Conductor. Laurence holds a Bachelor of Music and Bachelor of Education degrees from western University, and has pursued graduate studies in conducting at the Hartt School of Music, University of Hartford.

Laurence is also the Musical Director and bassist for the Festival City Big Band in Stratford. He has performed the duties of Musical Director for productions in Stratford and area in the past, and you can find him playing in and around Stratford with a number of groups. Laurence lives in Stratford with his wife Kathy, and when not making music, he is a flight instructor, flight test examiner and a professor of aviation at Fanshawe College in London.
